Welcome to St James’ Church.
Whether you’re completely new to church or curious about the Christian faith, have just moved to the area and are looking for a new church family to worship with, or whatever your reason for joining us at St James’, you are welcome here!
We have something for everyone and everyone is welcome.
Our main service is at 10.30am every Sunday. There is no “dress code” (unless you’re the vicar!) so come as you are! One of our welcomers will greet you at the door and help you find a seat.
We have a communion service on the 2nd Sunday of the month and an All-Age service on the 3rd Sunday and groups for children during the service. There is a collection during the service for those who would to give to the work of the church (or people can give by standing order or by card). The service is livestreamed (except the third Sunday) so you can still join us if you’re unable to make it in person. After the service we go through into our Church Room for tea, coffee, biscuits and fellowship.
We also have services on a Sunday afternoon, once a month on Sunday evening and on Thursday lunchtimes.
During the week, our church room is used for both church and community groups including coffee mornings, a ladies group, Scrabble Club and much more.
We also meet in small groups called cell groups for prayer, bible study, worship and fellowship.
You may be given a blue “welcome card” on your first visit to fill out so we can keep in touch with you. There is usually a newcomers evening every so often to welcome new people to the church family.
Please get in touch if you would like to know more about St James’ or just pop in.
