Regular services at St. James’
Thursdays
Midweek Communion is held at 1.15pm at St James’ Church on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Thursdays and Midweek Prayer on each 2nd and 4th Thursday*. This is a short service of around 30 minutes, with no music, ideal for those wanting space to pray during the week, or for whom Sundays are tricky.

Sunday mornings
10.30 am Morning Service at St James’ : 1st, 4th & 5th Sunday Morning Worship, 2nd Sunday Holy Communion, 3rd Sunday All-Age Worship (also broadcast on YouTube apart from the 3rd Sunday).
Family Service/Family Communion Relaxed service of worship with children’s groups for ages 3+, crèche area for small children, worship led by a music group, with a focus on teaching and meeting God together. Children aged 8 and over who have done a suitable preparation course are welcome to receive communion.

‘Arise’ 6.30 pm on the 4th Sunday (except June, August & December) An informal service of contemporary worship.
Saturdays

If Sundays are difficult, there is also Messy Church, on the second Saturday of each month, 10.30-12.30 at St Peter’s, Coronation Avenue. This is designed for families, who can do games and crafts together, take part in a short act of worship, and then join in a delicious meal to round it off.
